A Quiet Weekend At Last

After all the excess of Christmas it was nice to have a weekend that revolved around fresh air and just a little bit of alcohol. After the the bitterly cold fortnight, the temperature rose to +8c on Sunday evening, a staggering 20 degrees swing from last Tuesday night when it dipped to minus 12c. Spectacular Freezing Fog As The Cold Spell Draws To a Close

Freezing fog turned Hampshire a spectacular white this morning as the cold winter held on for another day. Quite why the weathermen say that "thankfully" the cold weather will be pushed away by mild winds from Sunday. Next week will be warm, wet, cloudy and miserable, why should we be thankful for that? You wont be seeing pictures like this on next weeks blog, that's for sure.
