If American dentist and big game hunter, Walter Palmer, didn't know what it is like to be hunted, he does now. Through Facebook, Twitter and all other forms of social media, this guy is getting chased from all corners of the globe, in which, it has to be said, is a dubious way of him getting five minutes, or indeed, five days of fame.

When I popped in to Sainsbury's yesterday, I decided that I would stop in the cafeteria and have a cup of tea and a bit of lunch (£5:00 for cod chips and mushy peas is a bargain). Amongst the things I find most fascinating about social media are the "Spotted" Facebook pages where people make others in their community aware of events going on and things or people that are potentially suspicious.
I read something the other day on a "Spotted" site that went something like this.
"I saw a man in a blue shirt coming out of some bushes by the park earlier; it may be nothing but please be aware."

I was at my cricket club meeting the other day and the subject of an alarming decrease in youth participation came up on the agenda. When you are a member of a sports club, you get drawn in to the illusion that because you participate, everyone else does, so you can imagine my surprise to discover that cricket is 17th on the list of participating sports in the UK.
