Frank Hester – The Racist Who Didn’t Mean It
Posted on March 13, 2024
Let’s unpack this latest Tory fiasco, shall we? It’s like watching a soap opera, but with more racism and less glamour.
Hester’s Racism & a PR Disaster
So, we start with Frank Hester’s charming little alleged comments about hating black women. Classy move, Frank. Because when I think of normal, rational human behavior, I definitely think of wanting to shoot a black woman politician. Totally not a red flag at all. Neither is wanting to hate other black women as a consequence or hating one individual.
Now, one might reasonably expect the Conservative Party to distance themselves faster than you can say “PR disaster.” But nope, they’re holding onto that £10 million donation like it’s the last lifeboat on the Titanic. After all, who needs principles when you’ve got wedges of cash coming in? Frank apologised and that’s the end of it. You can’t just go all wokey and cancel him for wanting to have a black politician shot.
Contracts for Cash
Of course, there’s more to it ! There always is with this brand of Tories. Turns out, they have been showering Hester’s company with over £400 million in contracts over the last few years. They certainly don’t want us peasants shining a light on that little arrangement. Because nothing says transparency like a government in cahoots with private contractors spending taxpayers cash.
Let’s not forget about Diane Abbott. Love her or loathe her, you’ve got to hand it to a woman who climbed from being born to a welder and a nurse in Hackney to Cambridge University. She deserves some respect even if her speeches sometimes sound like a malfunctioning robot with a problematic calculator. She certainly doesn’t deserve shooting. That kind of hate is deeply troubling and suggests Hester is not the full shilling and possibly a psychopath.
In Summary
In conclusion, the Tories are really knocking it out of the park with this one. Accepting apologies, keeping dirty money, and probably asking for seconds. Bravo, folks. Bravo. But seriously, it’s all just a tad messed up, isn’t it?
And it’s our money.
Got something to say?
