The Cretin That is Paul Dacre
Posted on October 1, 2013
I have always known that the Daily Mail is a spiteful paper; it has a long history of supporting the likes of Mussolini and other far right groups such as the Blackshirts headed by Oswald Moseley.
However, by smearing the dead for political gain they have succeeded in surpassing my expectations of them. Paul Dacre knows that you can’t face charges for libel when the persons character you are assassinating is dead, so that is why, being the far right zealot he is, he found easy pickings with regards to the Jewish father of Ed Milliband.
The Daily Mail conveniently forget that Ralph Milliband served In the British Navy during the Second World War, instead focusing on his views on Marxism and the free market taken from a diary when he was a teenager.Correct me if I am wrong but I think we have all seen that the free market has been far from perfect at times recently.
There is no point in me reprinting what was said in the Daily Mail, you can read it online as well as the response that came from Ed Milliband, who was backed by Nick Clegg and David Cameron for defending the name of his dead father who doesn’t have the opportunity to defend himself.
What I will say is this. If the Daily Mail want to deal in 20th Century history, maybe they should take a look at their own headlines of the past, headlines such as “Hurrah for the Blackshirts” as they threw their support behind Moseley and the British Union of Fascists.
It is with some irony that this week sees the anniversary of the Battle of Cable Street when Moseley and his band of fascists were beaten down by the people of the East End, a battle that saw a change in the course of history that resulted in Britain and I might add, Ralph Milliband, fighting the Nazis rather than joining in them as the Daily Mail once wished.
Sometimes it’s right to fight: The East End Battering The Daily Mail backed British Union of Fascists
You won’t read about the Battle of Cable Street in The Daily Mail this week, I’ll let you work that one out for yourselves!
Got something to say?
